I have already discussed this module in a few of my previous blogs, however I have now received my mark and feedback from my first submission. Overall it is clear that there are a few areas that I could have improved upon, in particular my narrative is very much focused on one media element, this being the usage of podcasts, which heavily undermined the other forms of media included.
The three primary platforms that I chose for my project were Podcasts, Snapchat and Instagram. I also included secondary elements which was a website and posters. As well if i took into consideration more of what was outlined from the weekly readings I would have done a number of things differently to keep the users more inclined and interested in the project. A key aspect I did not focus on was audience engagement or how my narrative could have been written to increase user participation, this of course is key for a successful project and what I will have to keep in mind for future projects.
In conclusion I was disappointed with my overall mark, however, from reviewing my project and the feedback received it is clear that there are a number of things that I could have easily improved upon that would've boosted my mark. In the future including more of what is outlined in the weekly readings and going through every point in the module guide will benefit the outcome of upcoming modules. Overall I have really enjoyed creating my own transmedia narrative, and learning about the whole concept of transmedia storytelling.
I have even focused on the world of transmedia storytelling in three of my previous blogs, this includes two blogs created about The Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones, two of the worlds most successful book series that have been adapted through transmedia storytelling.
